Friends of St Columban's

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at St?Columban’s Primary School plays a vital role in strengthening the partnership between home and school. Made up of dedicated parents, carers, and staff, the PTA works collaboratively to enhance the educational experience of every child. Their mission is to create a welcoming school community where families feel informed, supported, and actively involved in school life.

The PTA contributes in many meaningful ways, from organising events that bring families together to supporting fundraising initiatives that provide valuable resources for the school. These efforts often help to fund additional learning materials, playground equipment, and enrichment activities that might otherwise be beyond the school’s budget. Beyond fundraising, the PTA also acts as an important forum for parents to share ideas, raise questions, and offer feedback that supports the school’s ongoing development.

Most importantly, the PTA at St?Columban’s fosters a strong sense of community. By encouraging family engagement and promoting positive relationships between staff and parents, the PTA helps ensure that the school remains a place where every child feels encouraged, supported, and inspired to learn. Their work strengthens the whole school environment and reflects the shared values at the heart of St?Columban’s.  If anyone is interested in joining our PTA please contact the school office.
